Ayurveda is the oldest system of medicine more than 5000 year old, hence it is the oldest system of medicine.
It has 2 words Ayur and Veda …Ayur means life and Veda means Science
Ayurveda means Science of life
An Ayurvedic approach to a person is holistic and not symptomatic

If there is a health problem then there shall be a analysis of the root cause of the problem with pulse diagnosis and consultation and then the conclusion of diagnosis made which depends on different factors like body type, imbalances, heriditary factors…etc,Normally it is recommended to undergo Ayurveda therapies so that the toxins do not settle down and cause diseases in our body. Panchakarma is one of the best detox cleansing method which is the oldest time tested procedure ,hence it is a very important procedure in todays stressful modern world.

Then there shall be the healing to remove the root cause by panchakarma or detox processes and then treat the body mind and soul with herbs.Hence Ayurvedic approach is very unique and specific to the individual and not generalised. The fundamental concept is that this body has come from the 5 elements and goes back to the 5 elements .Each individual has a certain order of the 5 elements which is specific to him and that is called the body type of the person.

It is important to know your body type with pulse diagnosis and understand the individuals physical and energetic makeup ,then Ayurveda therapies can be applied intelligently with oils and Ayurvedic preparations suitable to that particular body type.Later as a followup the person can try to lead a healthy life being aware of his diet lifestyle and habits which suit his body type and eliminate the things which don't suit his body type.

Ayurveda is the 5000 year old ancient indian science with fundamentals on 5 elements and their balance as health and imbalance leading to ill health.

Each one of us are born with the 3 doshas or humours vata pitta and kapha vata has air and space element, pitta has fire and water element and kapha has water and earth element. The ruling element in vata is air in pitta is fire and in kasha is water ,hence it becomes very important to know your body type according to Ayurveda so as to analyse the imbalances and plan the suitable panchakarma treatments Shodhana chikitsa or herbal medication treatments called Shamana chikitsa. A ayurvedic doctor helps to diagnose your body type and gives you diet and lifestyle advice in order to keep the body type in balance.
